2014 Grant Award Recipients

JustFundKY has awarded grants to 12 community-based organizations that advocate and advance fairness for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender citizens. Its Cliff Todd Endowment supports the following 2014 initiatives around the state:

ProgressLex, Inc

$2,000 to help produce "We Are Lexington" web video to promote Lexington as a Fairness friendly city where diversity is appreciated.

Bluegrass Black Pride

$5,000 for its project: Examining Homophobia in the African American Community which includes guest speaker Mandy Carter.

GLSO

$4,950 to support its Senior Group, GSA, Hispanic Outreach, Disabled Outreach, Company Q, Sean Strub program, and TransyKy.

Senior Pride Initiative

$2,500 to support its 2014 Conference to increase competency of community groups servicing LGBT elders

OUTsource

$1,366 to conduct Impact Training to help prevent violence against LGBT individuals.

University of Kentucky Center for Interprofessional Health Care Education

$4,875 to create and disseminate web-based continuing education modules on LGBT health for rural health care providers.

Pandora Productions

$5,000 to help produce the Silas House play "This is my heart for you" around the state. This play explores growing up gay in Appalachia.

Murray State University

$1,500 to support its "Respect My Identity" educaton program about the Trans community.

Alphabet Center at EKU

$3,900 to bring Ash Beckham to Richmond for a speaking engagement.

Louisville LGBT Firm Festival

$1,000 to support the 2014 Film Festival.

Harvey Milk Society (Berea College)

$3,500 to sponsor its Fairness Day program.

Morehead State University

$2,000 to support the Come Together Conference- training LGBT leaders from all Ky Colleges and Universities.
